Baptism is a way of showing others that you have entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ
Baptism doesn’t make you a believer, it shows that you already believe. Baptism doesn’t “save” you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is an outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart.
- We practice baptism by immersion (dunking in water) when a person is old enough to make that decision on their own.
- If you’ve been baptized before, there is no need for you to be baptized again. If you make the personal choice to be baptized again when you make a re-affirmation of faith, we are happy to baptize you again.
- If you are new to the Christian faith and have not been baptized, we will ask you to make a confession of faith. It’s not complicated. One of our ministers will ask you: “Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, son of the living God?” That’s the core of our belief, the only question that’s necessary.
