Church Partnerships
Partnerships between these organizations and MCC have developed because members of our congregation have served regularly with these groups and established relationships.

Middletown Elementary School
MCC has partnered with Middletown Elementary School as part of our CHIP (Children in Poverty) initiative: to reduce the impact of poverty on the lives of children. To focus our efforts, we have chosen education as a primary means of breaking the cycle of poverty. We are partnering with local area schools to provide meals through Blessings in a Backpack and provide volunteer support in the classroom and serve in the local school community.

The Cornerstone Foundation
The Cornerstone Foundation remains one of our global partners, as they support the efforts of the hospital Loma de La Luz and children’s home and school located in the very remote and yet highly populated northern area of Honduras near the city of Belfate.
Middletown Christian Church has sent a team annually to Loma de La Luz since 2003, to build casitas where hospital patient’s families can stay near their loved one. Most must travel many miles and hours on foot through the jungle to reach the facility. The team has also worked to restructure a former single-family home into the children’s home where children suffering from abuse or those left behind find safety, healthy food and an education.

American Red Cross
Some four million people give blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States. For more information about giving blood, visit www.givelife.org.
Convenience, for many people, turns out to be the deciding factor whether they give blood or not. The American Red Cross works closely with companies, community groups, military bases, churches and synagogues, colleges, universities and high schools to organize blood drives at places most convenient for donors — the places where they live, work, worship, and play. In fact, 80% of blood donations made through the Red Cross are made at blood drives rather than fixed donor centers.
Middletown Christian Church is proud to sponsor regular blood drives through the American Red Cross. Click here for information about upcoming blood drives at MCC.
