our philosophy
The goal of Middletown Christian Preschool & Kindergarten is to offer a quality weekday school program that provides a safe and nurturing environment, reflecting the principles of Christian love.

We are committed to the development of each child’s strong sense of security, positive self esteem and a life-long enthusiasm for learning.

To this end, we will promote the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual growth of each child by providing a developmentally appropriate program with a rich and stimulating environment that supports each child’s learning preferences, differences and pace.

We believe that preschool age children learn primarily through play. Therefore, our classrooms encourage active involvement and meaningful experimentation. Knowing that the children also need routine in their lives, we schedule each program to offer a balance of structure and free choice as well as quiet and active times.

The purpose of our school is to provide a program that will benefit the child, the parent and the community.

our staff
We only employ teachers whose #1 priority is each and every child in our school. Our staff will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Our skilled staff is continually enhancing their qualifications through workshops offered by accredited agencies. Each staff member is required to have 15 hours of training each year.

our community
We will meet the need for a Christian early childhood educational facility. We will contribute to the wholesome growth and development of the future citizens of the community. Our school will provide a setting where people of various religious and ethnic backgrounds can work together for a common interest.

As well as various service projects the children will participate in during worship, such as collecting food and diapers for Eastern Area Community Ministries, collecting socks and mittens during the cold months and a penny harvest during the spring. The money that is collected is donated to a charity. There are many more projects the children participate in and we change from year to year to keep the children interested. The children take such ownership in these projects; they are presented to them in a way that they understand that they are doing God’s work!

our parents
We will provide opportunities in the understanding of child development and care for your child. We have an open door policy at Middletown Christian Preschool and Kindergarten, which means parents are always welcome to come and visit their child’s classroom. We encourage an active involvement in your child’s school experience. This can be done by sharing special talents, special days and special books. Anything else that you feel would be beneficial to your child and the other children at the school, please discuss with your child’s teacher.
