It is certainty in uncertain times. It is reminder that we’re loved and a call to love others. It is more than sanctuary decoration; it defines our very existence. It is our purpose in this world and our pathway to the next.

That’s a tall order for an inanimate object!

This cross represents one that wasn’t quite so carefully crafted 2,000 years ago. Ours is a symbol of forgiveness. The one it is patterned after was a symbol of punishment. Our cross represents hope. The one it is patterned after was used to bring hope to the world.

The Holy Spirit has led us through prayer and careful study to an understanding that our mission can be found in the cross, too.

Middletown Christian Church’s mission is to:
