Middletown Christian Church
SendThe church isn’t a fortress against the world; it is the hope of the world. We look for ways to provide life-changing help to the world around us through ministries like our local mission blitzes (we call them Great Days for Jesus – because they really are), our growing mission ministry, prison pen-pal ministry, a bereavement ministry, and a stop-smoking ministry. We also offer help through two wholly-owned subsidiaries which provide much needed service in the community: Middletown Christian Preschool & Kindergarten and Middletown Christian Village, a retirement community which includes single family units as well as an assisted living center and will soon include a rehabilitation center.)

Local Church Partnerships
We are currently working with four local churches that are doing life-changing work in their part of our community without available human and financial resources faith to do the work they are called to do: Fairview and Newburg Christian Churches, Temple of Faith Baptist Church, and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. We’ve joined them in ministry -- lending a volunteer’s hand and contributing to their ministries because we believe their potential impact for God’s kingdom is limitless.

Other Ministry Partners
We are proud to be members of Eastern Area Community Ministries, a Ministry partnership of more than 30 churches in Louisville’s east end that serves those in needy in our area. We provide volunteers for the organization, serve as a drop off site for the clothes closet and pantry, and contribute regularly to their cause.

Just a few blocks from here stands our old church building. From the street, it hasn’t changed much, but step inside and you’ll find something much different than what we left behind. That building now houses Summit Academy, a private school for special needs children in kindergarten through eighth grade. We provide volunteers for the school and contribute to their cause.

We are a Tithing Church
One dollar out of every ten contributed to Middletown Christian Church is sent right back out into the community and the world to support organizations with life-transforming missions.

In 2004, the recipients of our outreach dollars included the Disciples of Christ Mission, Week of Compassion and Reconciliation funds; Christian Church Homes of Kentucky; Cane Ridge; the American Bible Society; Kentucky Council of Churches; Eastern Area Community Ministries; Summit Academy; Habitat for Humanity; Middletown Christian Village endowment fund; Crusade for Children; Gideons; Salvation Army; a Somali refugee family, Ronald McDonald House; Wayside Christian Mission and miscellaneous pastoral care needs.
