Book Discussion Group

Women - any age
Meets third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.to discuss book the group has been reading. Check with contact person for meeting location while MCC undergoes construction.

Description: This group is for reader wishing to be challenged and informed through discussion of books and authors. Reading materials include historical and biographical works, fiction and non-fiction, science fiction and works by local authors.

Frisky Folks

Adults over 55
Meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. at MCC except during the month of August.

Description: Frisky Folks is an outreach group who meets to provide fellowship opportunities and to serve the community. Also take scheduled trips to museums, restaurants, area events, and entertainment. Outreach efforts include Crusade for Children, Eastern Area Community Ministry, and Middletown Christian Village.

Wednesday Night Women's Group

Women ages 40's and up
Meet every Wednesday night at MCC at 7:15 p.m. (During construction at MCC, check with contact person for location of meeting)

Description: Study books related to spiritual issues such as "Living a Mary Life in a Martha World." Group provides support and encouragement to each other. In addition, the group is involved in outreach projects supported by MCC.

Meet monthly at various locations for socializing and fellowship.

Women's Prayer Breakfast

All women - any age welcome
Meets every Wednesday at 7 a.m. in MCC's Fellowship Hall for prayer and fellowship.

Description: Members take turns bringing light breakfast to share. Usually have a speaker. Spend time praying for MCC members who are on prayer list and send cards weekly. Meeting is over by 8 - 8:15 a.m.

Thimble Therapy

Women - all ages welcome
Meet the last Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. at MCC for about an hour.

Description: Group meets monthly to review the individual work they do. Each person does an individual square or piece for a quilt. During monthly meeting the quilt top pieced together. Once top is together, the quilt is sent to a quilting group to be finished. The finished quilt is then raffled with proceeds to support different needs within MCC. No one turned away. All levels of sewing skills are accepted - members can teach anyone what they need to know.

Description: Begin the week by meeting to enjoy fellowship, prayer and a short devotion.

10 Great Dates - Marriage Enrichment Group

COUPLES - any age
Meet in fall for 10 weeks and in the spring for 10 weeks during Kids Connection or as is convenient to the group.

Description: To enrich relationships by facilitating time to make priority of that relationship - have more fun together as a couple - go on individual dates, not group dates. Provides support and ideas to enjoy and celebrate your life together.
